こんにちは！　私達はマイクとアンジェラです。
英国南西部のサマーセットに夫婦二人で住んでいます。
マイクは小学校の校長先生をしていましたが今は引退して、時々ボランティアで教えに行っています。
アンジェラは料理や家事が得意の専業主婦。
娘二人と孫二人のいるおじいちゃんおばあちゃんです。

私達は活動的で、色々なことに興味があります。

絵を描くのが好きで二人とも地域の絵画クラブに所属していますし、マイクは自然や生き物を含むナチュラル・ヒストリーのグループに参加しています。
アンジェラはフラワーアレンジメントクラブにも所属していて、教会のセレモニーなどでは頼まれてアレンジを作っています。地域の教会のメンバーとして、二人とも教会の鐘を鳴らす「ベル・リンガー」でもあるんですよ。
二人は地域のフォークグループで、マイクはギターやアイリッシュドラムを、アンジェラはキーボードで演奏することもあるという音楽好き。
多くの英国人と同じように、ガーデニング大好きであることは言うまでもありません。
大きさに関わらず、庭に美と楽しみを見出すことが出来ることを、皆さんにお見せしたいと思っています。

Hello. We are Mike and Angela. We live in Somerset in England . We have two daughters and two grandsons.
We have many interests.
• We are both painters and belong to an art group.
• Angela is also a member of a flower-arranging club and Mike is in a natural history (wildlife) group.
• We are both bell ringers and are members of the church council.
• We both love music and we play in a folk-music group. I play keyboard and Mike plays guitar and Irish drum (but not both together!)
• Mike is a retired head teacher and now helps in local schools as a volunteer.
Most of us in England love being in the garden so I am going to try to help you plan and make a garden to be proud of. However small they are, they can still be a place of beauty and enjoyment.

Our garden is bigger than the average sized English garden.
We can enjoy this part of the garden when we are working in the kitchen

大好きなセアノサスが満開のとき。　残念ながら枯れてしまいました・・・。
Our beautiful ceanothus tree in full bloom. Sadly, it died recently.
